I want to first say that I did not experience the spa. I used their products while on safari and was happy to find that they had a store front. Their balms are amazingly scented and the body wash was very nourishing. I would definitely buy products from them again.

Not pleasant experience at all.
The lady used strange waxing technique, not pleasant procedure. It was extremely painful, using just wax not the strips. It was hot ,burnt my skin. Also when I changed into my swimming suit on Mauritius I had to go shave again. Not even after one week later I got terrible bumps on my skin.Never experienced anything like that before.

Let me start by saying I don't write bad reviews unless I've mentioned the problem at the business and they don't do anything about it.

I got the Soul of Africa Conditioning Massage which was really great and I would recommend that treatment as well as a Standard Facial.

There is construction happening at Rosebank Mall in the Zone and the entire facial there was drilling going on which was awful. I mentioned this when checking out and the lady at the desk said oh no there was drilling?! and then changed the subject. In my room there was a huge fan blasting the entire time because they don't have A/C there, and the door kept opening due to faulty door handle which was really uncomfortable. The lady kept having to try and close it properly throughout the treatments. The lighting was rather bright for a treatment room which was a touch obnoxious.

I am also not a fan that they did not have me fill anything out regarding the massage or facial beforehand. I have gotten multiple of both of these treatments and have always filled something out regarding pressure on the massage, is there anywhere I don't want to be touched (I hate my feet being touched and the lady touched them many times during the treatment which I know she was just doing her job and I should have said something but it was too late), concerns on my skin for the facial etc.

Word of advice - go to the Africology in Parkhurst until renovation is over at the mall and let them know if you have any concerns or like your massage done a certain way before the treatment starts. I wish they had waited to open at their new location until they were 100% prepared for it.
