Well worth art tour at Ellerman House. A rare insight to one to SA top private art collections. An interesting and well curated morning and I learnt a lot of interesting facts about the artists. A beautiful setting and ended off with Champagne and delicious canapes. Highly recommended

We participated in the Malay Cooking lesson and lunch at Fayruza's place in the Bo Kaap. Kate's organisation was impeccable - and the experience was unique, super delicious, very interesting and very entertaining. Highly recommended - and we will definitely participate in other events Culture Connect organises. It's fun to be tourists in your own city!

This was a Culture Connect group meeting at Graff Delaire vineyards, with the main activities being viewing an amazing private collection of mainly South African art, and having a delicious lunch in the restaurant. On top of that was the stunningly beautiful estate. Worth a visit just for that! The art viewing was to take two hours. I quailed! But my goodness, it was so interesting - with knowledgeable and friendly guides - that the time just flew by. The lunch was haute cuisine - beautifully presented and also delicious. I'm not able to eat chili and (having been warned of this beforehand) the kitchen produced wonderful alternatives for me. I was very impressed. One more small point: in this time of Covid-19 (Level 1) lockdown it was reassuring to see bottles of sanitiser spray in every area.
