I had a blast with Warren! I could have taken a larger tour, some of which plan their itinerary based on the wishes of the passengers. As a solo, I may not have seen all that I wanted to. With Warren, I was able to ask all the questions I wanted, see what I wanted to see, all in good company. He knows his Cape Town and I loved his wit. I highly recommend a day with Warren and will be in touch the next time I am in S.A.

To go to Cape Town for the first time and not tour the peninsula would be silly. The tours all do much of the same thing, the seals, penguins, chapmans peak and of course the cape. We used daytrippers who we found to be excellent. Our reason for choosing them was they bring bicycles along so you can cycle through the national park. It is an easy gentle cycle and so worth it. Much better than being cooped up in a bus all day. They were also a little cheaper than others we looked at.

We contacted Cape Town Day Tours www.capetowndaytours.net thanks to the reviews we read at tripadvisor.com.
The owner of the company Warren replied all my questions promptly and tailored the tours according to our schedule.
My family and I booked 2 tours with them. First day, we took the full-day Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point, Penguin and Seal Colonies tour. Second day, we took the full-day Wine, Cheese, Franschhoek
& Stellenbosch tour.
Our guide Aubrey was very nice, polite and very knowledgeable (also fluent in German.)
Our van was new and clean. Especially, in our tour to the wine country, we were really happy with the selection of the wineries that they took us for tasting.
We were very satisfied with the service we received from Cape Town Day Tours (www.capetowndaytours.net) and recommend it to everybody.

Get to Cape Town, South Africa. This is one of the world’s most beautiful places. This is the place to experience the most exotic nature, beaches, art, cultural traditions, wineries and other adventure activities. The wine here is some of the most popular wine in the world - tasting regions abound just outside of Cape Town, including Franschhoe, Stellenbosch and Constantia Valley. It’s only an hour’s drive from Cape Town and it’s a very scenic hour – and the famous Cape Winelands will surely feel like a different world to you. You will see rolling vineyards, towering mountains, historic wine estates and you will be able to drink and buy more than enough wine to keep you satisfied satisfied.
If you are addicted to an adrenaline rush, head to one of the skydiving clubs in Cape Town for a quick jump with your partner and see the most scenic drop zones with Cape Peninsula, Robben Island, and Table Mountain all in the view. I don’t skydive, but I am told it is breathtaking.
You could also do some abseiling or rappelling, (the controlled descent down a rock face using a rope). You can do this at the Table Mountain, which is the highest commercial abseil across the globe. Not that I did that either. But what I did do was to catch the cable car (or you can also simply walk up) to the mountain top for breathtaking views of the country— a brilliant and breathtaking experience you won’t forget.
Cape Town is one of the best destinations for lovely panoramic views, and for its pristine beaches and warm waters, or getting close to many Jackass penguins at the Boulder’s Beach. Jackass penguins areso-called because of their unrefined singing voices that resemble those of braying jackasses.
Food in Cape Town is fabulous too—and some of the best gastronomy is to be found dotted around the central city. For an authentic taste of Cape Malay food (samosas, lamb denningvleis, or mild chicken kalya) head to Biesmiellah’s. Try Nyoni’s Kraal, which serves braaivleis (barbecue) and Malay curries (there are other local delicacies here I won’t get into). For something more universally appealing, try the Africa Café, for Xhosa spinach patties and Mozambican peri-peri prawns and, yum, Ethiopian lamb. Mama Africa is Pan-African food, with a live (and loud) band and as much meat as you can eat. Also try Jardine for pared down, subtle flavours (dishes might include tender Chalmar beef fillet with oxtail, and tomatoey West Coast crayfish risotto), Bizerca Bistro for bistro classics with a fresh twist brought to you by award-winning chef Laurent Deslandes, or La Colombe, where chef Luke Dale-Roberts wows foodies from across the globe with the likes of springbok medallions with celeriac purée in a rich port and truffle sauce.
For art lovers, you’d be surprised at how great the artwork is here. The National Gallery (with permanent and temporary exhibitions showcases South African art spanning the centuries, as well as the occasional retrospectives of famous artists —two of my favourites being Picasso and Marelene Dumas).
Want to beach it? Head to one of the secluded sandy beaches. Beta Beach is situated a convenient ten minutes’ drive from the city centre. This is really a postage-stamp-sized beach flanked by big boulders, so it’s great for swimming and sun-bathing.
Don’t forget to do the tour of Robben Island--where Nelson Mandela was held in prison for 18 years (he was jailed a total of 27). His little cell is an eye opener. The tour to Robben Island is 3.5 hours long, including the two half-hour ferry rides.
What an amazing place Cape Town. I look forward to returning soon again.

We took a penisula tour of Capetown. We came across ostrich and baboons on the road. It was amazing. We took a ferry to see the seals, stopped for lunch. Travelled to the cape of good hope, where we stopped to see penguins and a light house. We did a bit of everything in one day.

I booked a private day tour with Warren via the website, having read other reviews and was not disappointed. Our friendly, knowledgeable and polite guide - Thasibo - showed us to the Robben Isle ferry terminal for the trip to Robben Isle and met us on the return. Thasibo explained Apartheid, took us in a modern air conditioned SUV to the district Museum and walked us through developments over the years and then took us on a tour of the Langa Township and to various local craft activities. An excellent, very thought provoking day.

We decided to do a tour with Cape Town Day Tours as we are from a country that drives on the other side of the road from Cape Town and didn't want to try driving.
It was a great idea to do this excursion. We learned so much more than if we had rented a car and done the trip ourselves. Also, you get to skip all the lines if you are with a tour guide.
We opted for a condensed trip where we did one really long day and packed in the Cape of Good Hope, the penguins, Chapman's peak and a wine tour in Stellenbosch.
I was particularly impressed with the wine tour. I live in the wine region of Canada and have been on many tours. This one was completely private and you got to go right up to the machines.
Our guide was Estee from Franschoek. She was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

As first-time travelers to South Africa, we were getting a little overwhelmed with trying to plan activities and logistics by just clicking around onlie. Fortunately, we found Cape Town Day Tours, and working with Warren was the best decision we made. He worked closely with me during the planning process to design a private, curated tour that hit all the high notes for our group of 6: transportation, scenery, food, wine, history, fun. He secured some of the reservations and had everything planned out in advance. He is super responsive, and a combination of email and WhatsApp made it easy to stay in touch.
Upon arrival, Warren picked us up in a large, comfortable van and took us to a grocery store before dropping us off at our house. We all instantly bonded with him, and by the end of our trip, we said goodbye to a friend.
First: his knowledge of the area. He lives a mile from where he was born and his passion for his country and Cape Town is evident. We had amazing conversations about everything from penguins and whales to rugby and Mandela, and what it was like living ini SA pre- and post-apartheid. He is open and engaging.
In addition to personally driving us to all the 'must-see" spots like Cape of Good Hope and Chapmans Peak, Warren arranged a private VIP tour of Robben Island (highly recommended), private wine tastings, and a private chef-led food walking tour, He knows everyone and was able to get us access to places even as schedules shifted.
He also went above and beyond, often taking an unannounced detour only to come across a mama whale and her baby swimming just offshore. We arrived at Boulder Beach to see the penguins ahead of anyone else, so essentially had a private viewing.
There is a reason he has 5 stars. Work with Warren to make your visit to Cape Town easy and memorable.

Hey MG_IslandHopper
Many thanks for this great review.
It was a pleasure being with you and your gang.
A very large component of a great tour is the guests themselves and you guys were superb.

We arrived in Cape Town on Wednesday afternoon and after emailing Warren, our itinerary was organised by the time we got into bed! So well organised! Warren responded in a very friendly and timely manner to enable us to make the most of our time in Cape Town. We had a private minibus to all of our wish list locations (Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach, Seal Island and Shark Cage Diving in Gaansbai) as well as some amazing food (all reservations were made by our guide on our behalf which made things really easy)!
Our guide for the peninsula tour was absolutely fantastic. Britney was extremely knowledgable and friendly. Her intuition was amazing! She could even tell when we were ready for a nap after lunch and played some music for us to sleep to!
Warren was also so friendly. Nothing was rushed and we felt very safe in his hands.
We would recommend Cape Town Day Tours to anyone! They really made our holiday the trip of a lifetime. We cannot thank you enough.
