Great beach for swimming and sipping in water. There are a few waves but mostly calm waters. Good to visit in July time frame. Great beach but lots of rubbish on the beach which is a shame!

Beautiful untouched beaches that are obviously changing because of more visitors - that's a catch 22 i guess.

Nilaveli Beach is one of the most resplendent and clean beaches to be found in Sri Lanka. The palm fringed white powdery beach against the turquoise blue, calm waters of the Indian ocean is, truly surreal.

The beach here is quite good, but unfortunately there is a lot of plastic rubbish that washes up. Swimming is still good, and the sunrise over the ocean was good too. Try to pick up some rubbish while you walk the beach, every little bit...More

Absolutely brilliant beach. So quiet and tranquil. The beach is perfect to swim. Gentle waters with just the right waves. Not crowded. Some parts you can have it all to yourself. There are even fishes jumping ard the waves. That could delight or disturb you...More

Untouched. White sandy beaches. Smooth. No rubbish. Just you and nature. Also cows. Fisherman and a few stray dogs grace the beach. Not ruined at all. No one bothers you and no shops to ruin what nature intended. Sea is amazing. Clear blue. Warm and...More
