Brilliant day out on the Santa Special, loved how quiet it was compared to the last few years. Only problem in an otherwise perfect day out was that both our children got the same present from Santa. A 6 year old boy and a 5 year old girl, both getting a knock-off Lego racing car with missing parts. Very disappointing. Other than that, a wonderful day out that ended with us buying another gift via Amazon to satiate our sad little lady. …

We visited here in sep 2020 as part of our annual trip to the IOW and had a fantastic day. Our little boy loved it. We had a carriage to ourself which was brilliant. The staff are so helpful and friendly, all of them had a friendly smile and nothing was too much. We'll be back next year.…

Just want to say what a brilliant day we had. A short queue to get in and we were welcomed by many of the staff. The steam train was great fun and my boy loved it, especially the whistles and all the people waving. The gift from Santa was actually really good and kept him amused for a few hours! The entertainment (magic show) was great, the included mince pies were tasty and also having lunch there it was great value. Genuinely enjoyed our day and will 100% be back. Thank you…

Had a lovely hour or so's ride in a private carriage (3rd class then but definitely equates to 1st class nowadays) through the countryside. We spent a happy hour visiting the workshop/museum (it's not just for "anoraks"). Had we known about the grounds/woodland walk, we'd have brought a picnic. Currently you need to pre-book but it's worth the effort. …

We did this on the spur of the moment and glad we did, it was very scary. Our time was from 8pm There was three different themes to go to before our steam train ride First we went to the story of the railway and all the way through was ghosts and zombies coming at you, then we went to the falconry which had some beautiful birds to see, then the scariest of them all was the woods, we walked down to a hut and then followed a path with fairy lights... coming towards us was a zombie and then behind us was a really scary clown and we were trapped, the zombie passed us but then run after us, boy oh boy we were out of there pretty quick, it was so funny Then we had a 45 min train journey stopping at two stations were more zombies tried to get us All in all we worth the money Thank you all for a very good and scary time …
