About
Littel handcrafted brewery , first in Parma, producer of Sour and spontanous fermentation beers , especially oak aged, with tasting beers and typical food only by little handcrafted producers and farmers of the region. Great free parking in front of the Torrechiara Castle, tables out around the grapes of the Birrificio. Since 1st January 2020, we make no tasting beers and no visit at the brewery. In fact Patrizia is going to transfer out of the brewery and there is nobody who can make that. Very Sorry for this information. Here at the brewery continue a big sale at very cheap prices of all beers staying at the brewery, till they end.

We were on a Bike Food Stories Tour with Davide. He took us to this charming vineyard where they make both wine and beer. Patrizia could not have been more hospitable. She brought trays of cheese and meat and we tasted several of her beers. She was very knowledgeable about the US and we had some very interesting discussions. We couldn't carry any beer since we were on bikes but we did go back a few days later and purchase some to enjoy. A definite stop if you are anywhere near Parma!

We stopped in at Panil Beer just by chance and had a great time. After pulling into the drive, the place looked open but a bit empty. So we knocked, made some noise, and a nice lady on the second story came to her balocny and said she would get Patricia. So we waited a bit, and waited a bit, and were about to leave when Patricia came down. She showed us the beer lineup, made recommendations, and we decided on a few to try and asked about food. We were hooked! We tried several of the beers, Patricia kept bringing out great food, and we had an awsome time hanging out near the vinyard and looking at the castle on the hill. The beer based liquors were a excellent way to end the stay. All in all, it was one of the more memorable random, by chance, excellent and friendly stops we had on our bicycle tour of Parma, Modena, and Bologna.

Saw a sign for artisanal beer and decided to stop in. The place was pretty quiet and didn't look open, but the woman there was very nice. We tasted four of their excellent beers and one of their wines. They also served us some cheese and tasted their grapes grown right there. Great views of the torrechiara castle with the vineyards in the foreground to compliment the great drinks. Don't miss this gem of an experience.

Patrizia gave us a wonderful tour of the brewery recently. We enjoyed learning about the process. Afterwards, we purchased some of their sour beer and tasted some of the local products. It was fantastic!
