Hard to find, but the locals know where it is since it's the only museum in Tynda. Ask some teenagers, you will find some speaking english. Staff in the museum is very friendly, but when you don't speak russian, you will find yourself looking at...More

If you are in Tynda then you are probably interested in the BAM railway. The museum has many displays including photographs. The guides only speak Russian so you will need an interpreter. This is the main highlight of Tynda

Nice and very interesting museum regarding the history of the contruction of the BAM railway and about the Tynda area. Several nice pictures and costumes and some stuffed animals. Interesting even when you don't speak Russian...

Funny as it seems, I have visited Tynda twice, Once up from the trans sib and once from Komsolmolsk,I did make the mistake of staying at the station rooms, worst value in Russia, Get yourself a decent room and stay one or two nights here...More
