The reserve has a number of walks with varying degrees of difficulty
It would take more than a number of visits to complete them all
The sights are wonderful with great photography opportunities
Well worth a visit

Beautiful walk, not known by too many people, no litter, rivers can be crossed or walk alongside - waterfall beautiful - so worth the walk. Can be slippery depending on the weather.

Every time I visit here the area/facility improves. Guards are friendly and knowledgeable. Fellow visitors are nature friendly people (i.e. clean up after them self!!!)

We did a short walk up the hill to a waterfall, quite a trek in places but very nice. All up I think it was about an hour and a half. R40 per person gets you access for the day. In$ terms this is really good value. The camp ranger was friendly and welcoming, didn't know much about the walks or didn't share. Looks like a fantastic place for picnics.

This place has been on my to do list for almost a year, finally got the chance to hike it and as expected I was not disappointed. The main waterfall is breathtaking and the trail to get there is just as amazing. Will definitely be going back to hike other trails soon 😊

My property borders the Krantzkloof nature reserve and we have been experiencing
numerous break-ins and attempted break-ins during the day and night.
The area might not be safe for visitors as there seems to be no security inside the
reserve.

The Krantzkoof Nature Reserve is managed by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, conserves 668 ha of Molweni & Nkutu River gorges that incise the sandstone Koof plateau in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.

I didn't really want to write this review as it may end up not allowing me to book here again. But we have to be totally straight about this. This place is amazing. Well equipped, clean, super hosts, secure and everything else one would hope for when staying away from home.

Krantzkloof is the perfect nature getaway .Many beautiful nature trails of varying difficulty to walk whether you are a hardcore hiker or love just taking a stroll ,there's something for everyone . Breathe taking view points are found along the ways to the tranquil waterfalls. Very safe

Nature reserve set in the Kloof Gorge. Hiking trails that follow the edge of the gorge with great views, eventually descending into the valley and following the course of the Molweni river. Beautiful, lush vegetation. Was hot and humid when we were there, making walking an effort - take lots of water!

Shorts are ok as well. I wore shorts when I went in January.
How much does it cost to visit the place?

In the order of R12 or R15 per person, which gets your details noted in a register so they know who is in the reserve and which route they're doing. Should you not report back before closing time, they will come look for you, in case something happened to you. There are several routes to choose from; various lengths. Wardens patrol the routes as well. No dangerous animals in the reserve, but if you look for scorpions and the like under stones, you may find some (my two sons found this the interesting part of the hike). Highly recommended. Visiting the waterfall is a must. On certain Sundays they do a guided walk.
