Pipe and Drum Bands and Heavy Throwing. How far can you throw a heavy stone or a telephone pole? A lot of fun at the Highland Games

Ceres Highland Games have been held every year since 1314 after Robert the Bruce gave the villagers permission to hold them in order to commemorate the Battle of Bannockburn. They are the oldest free games in Scotland. A good day out with all the family!

Without any shadow of a doubt this is the best Highland games in Scotland. Not many places shut the main road for an event like this, it literally takes over the town.
