Very good museum. A bit disappointed that the surcharge was in place while a big exhibition room was closed for a change-over.

Museum MORE is a Dutch museum in Gorssel, Netherlands. The display of the paintings and exhibits it is totally worth it, even though the location of the museum is not very convenient and takes some time to travel. The paintings guide you through a diversity of emotions and the realism of the exhibits is unbelievable. Museumkaart is valid for a discount on the entrance ticket. I enjoyed my visit here and do recommend to add the museum on to visit list in Netherlands.

We visited the MORE museum in november 2019 and were genuinely impressed by the quality of the paintngs of Dutch painters.
There was an exhibition of British painters of the same period, which was delightfull.
The modern building itself is purpose built and beautiful.
Well worth a visit!

Museum of realistic art. Top class pieces of mainly Dutch paintings. The village is also nice to visit, tranquil and friendly.

Gorssel is a small town with a superb museum. Interestingly there is always a surcharge on tickets because of special exhibitions. But... They would niet leave that space empty, so ... get rid of the surcharge and adapt the entrance fee to what is fair.

We really enjoyed our visit to Museum More, beautiful building, good set up and a very nice collection. We specially went for the collection of 'Geheim van de Meester' 24 reconstructions of famous paintings, the complete process of creating these paintings was shown on Dutch TV.

The Museum More building has an esthetic, prize winning design that provides a beautiful setting for its exhibitions.
The museum’s collection focusses on modern, realist paintings of which style there are a good number of Dutch and German examples.
Temporary exhibitions, this season, include also sculptures - by Johan Polet. His sculptures range from first models to complete finished sculptures in stone. Polet’s work can be found in many Dutch towns in public spaces.
The exhibitions have an open atmosphere where visitors can watch paintings and sculptures from closeby.
The museum has a museumshop, modern facilities and a restaurant in the connecting building. The website offers a good overview of what can be expected. A visit therefore offers a complete tour.
There is ample parking space behind the museum and it can also be reached by public transport (bus 81 every half hour with a bus stop in front of the museum).
A very enjoyable visit if you are interested in (classical) modern art.

I have always been interested in the Karel Willink paintings and the costumes designed by Fong Leng for his 2nd wife Mathilde. so when I was visiting my godchildren in the neighbourhoood I decided to include this museum for a nice afternoon visit. and so it turned out to be. the setting is lovely with the castle in the moat and the nice garden layout. even in winter it was!!
the exhibition was just right!! I enjoyed going there. and can tell you, if you like art and a special setting and way of showing it, do not forget to plan a trip to MORE Museum.

Interesting museum in the center of Gorssel. The architecture of the building and the entire setup is probably more attractive than the contemporary art collection it hosts. Combine it with a visit at the Ruurlo castle.

With a permanent display of works and contemporary exhibitions. This is a wonderful art gallery to spend an afternoon. The building is beautiful with large exhibition spaces suitable for all ages to view the historical and current items on display. Usually a specialty photographic exhibition and also some intriguing artworks.
