This is the church that welcomes you when you arrive to Gozo Island. It's located on a hill that overlooks the Mgarr harbour, its beautiful and imposing, a very impressive building. I wanted to visit it many times during the week we were there but...More

The church was closed when we visited it but the view on the harbor of Mgarr is quite stunning. This church overviews the harbor and you can see it lying when approaching Gozo with the ferry. But, as with all of the other churches/basiliks/cathedrals we...More

Religous people have no bad intentions. Churches like this are all over the Island. Visit the Cathedral in Victoria, the Capital of Gozo

This wonderful church is perched high on a rocky outcrop in the coastal town of Mgarr, towering above the blue sea below. It can clearly be seen as you approach Gozo on the ferry from Malta. It is a hugely imposing structure and I suppose...More

It is a tiny chapel built in the gothic . Romaneque style which seems more common on Gozo. A kind man opened it up for us but the best thing is the view of Mgarr harbour!

Looks beautiful at dawn and dusk. It's a church, one of several on the island. Did not use it myself, but I would hazard a guess that you could have quite a nice religious experience here, if that's what you're into.

Hard work walking up to the church but well worth the effort, just looking through the gate was worth the climb and a lovely touch having the holy water there. A good place to meditate.
