Religous people have no bad intentions. Churches like this are all over the Island. Visit the Cathedral in Victoria, the Capital of Gozo

This wonderful church is perched high on a rocky outcrop in the coastal town of Mgarr, towering above the blue sea below. It can clearly be seen as you approach Gozo on the ferry from Malta. It is a hugely imposing structure and I suppose...More

The town of Mġarr grew up around the shallow harbour which shares its name. Ferry services to Malta were in operation by 1241, and fishing was already established. While the area around the harbour was developed over the following centuries, there was little development of...More

They were closed on a Tuesday afternoon at 3pm; be sure to check the hours before making the trip here.

Great looking place, you can't go inside but the doors are open to allow viewing of the stunning and elaborate inside. Its a challenging walk up to the door but well worth it - try not to worry too much about the cracks in the...More

It is a tiny chapel built in the gothic . Romaneque style which seems more common on Gozo. A kind man opened it up for us but the best thing is the view of Mgarr harbour!

Looks beautiful at dawn and dusk. It's a church, one of several on the island. Did not use it myself, but I would hazard a guess that you could have quite a nice religious experience here, if that's what you're into.

Hard work walking up to the church but well worth the effort, just looking through the gate was worth the climb and a lovely touch having the holy water there. A good place to meditate.

This is one of many lovely churches dotted around Gozo, it is very close to the harbour and ferry arrival point but is perched on top of a very unstable looking rocky outcrop! Confidence is not helped by the huge cracks running throughout the surrounding...More

This church has a pretty view, overlooking the Mgarr harbor. You can't go into the church, which is a pity. The interior can be viewed from the outside gate which is locked. The church is nicely decorated, but not as rich as other churches on...More
