This is a very basic place but I absolutely loved it. It is well sign posted and easy to find, plus there is a bus stop just down the road so you don't have to walk far to get to it. It is not easily...More

This site by definition is going to be somewhat moody and sombre, but I would go so far as to say it's quite creepy. Apart from various picture hangings with a brief paragraph of text in several languages dotted along the tunnels, mostly illegible due...More

Very interesting place to visit. The guy who works there (Joseph) is full of knowledge. Highly recommended to go. The mannequins that represent the maltese who were hiding in tunnels were a little disturbing and little children might be scared

Mellieha air raid shelter is interesting. Quite a long walk not suitable for people with disability. You can take photos. If you go near closing time the gentleman on the door will give you a guided tour. Well worth a visit.

Enjoyed learning about Mellieha in WWII and visiting this carefully preserved site. The gentleman on the door was happy to chat about local history, attitudes to Christianity and anything Malta. He added to our visit. Don’t miss the interesting mural on the walls and stairs...More

Interesting to see how cramped the conditions were. Tunnels are well kept and it’s cheap to see. Doesn’t take very long to do the tour but if you want to see a little bit of history it’s worth a view. Donations help keep the place...More

This is well intact and gives you a small insight into what it must have been like being down in the damp, cold shelters whilst bombing was going on overhead. There was lots of information and props which added to the experience.

Excellent value, truly a gem. The curator was friendly and helpful. Glad we put this on our itinerary.

Our visit wasn't planned only saw by chance, but we'll worth a visit. A fantastic piece of history. In today's Western busy life cannot imagine building, living & surviving in those conditions. Well Worth a visit. Follow the cat!
