We took our 8 year old daughter and she really enjoyed it. The journey was about an hour from Maspalomas stopping at a restaurant (drink and toilet stop) before the drive up to the viewing point.

During mid May, astroGC workshop timing is very roughly 20:30 to 23:00. Due to earth position compared to the galactic plane, the milky way will NOT be visible. there are nice pictures to be taken anyway but not of the milky... More
