This tour was one of the highlights of my trip, so i would highly recommend it to anyone visiting GC, even if you do not have knowledge of astronomy. Gauthier and the team are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Well worth checking out!

A highly recommended experience from start to finish. Gaultier and Vissen were able drivers on the mountain roads and gave an informative yet fun explanation of the various star formations. A magical evening! Warm clothing is a must.

Dear Geoffrey, It happens the maximum magnification is about X200 due to the atmosphere disturbances. Not to the telescope. Our fast F/4.5 telescopes have a theoretically maximum magnification a bit higher than 200 times... More

We took our 8 year old daughter and she really enjoyed it. The journey was about an hour from Maspalomas stopping at a restaurant (drink and toilet stop) before the drive up to the viewing point.

During mid May, astroGC workshop timing is very roughly 20:30 to 23:00. Due to earth position compared to the galactic plane, the milky way will NOT be visible. there are nice pictures to be taken anyway but not of the milky... More
