Great spot for hiking (easy to hard) and cold water swimming (Laudachsee). At the top of Grünberg you have some family activities waiting for you as well such as the "Baumwipfelpfad". Attn: can get quite busy on weekends

I stayed in Land hotel in Grunberg during my business visit to supplier and we spent most of our evenings at lake view restaurants for dinner after work. One can rent a boat and explore the lake or fish ( need fishing license).

A tranquil Austrian town by the lake. Great shops and even better people in this town. I was in town on business, but cannot wait to return with my wife in the near future. Food choices at area restaurants are best in Austria.

We went up the Grunberg on the cable car as we didn't have the time to walk. There were many people that were walking, and there were plenty of tracks shown on the map at the top. A great view of the surrounding area.

We couldn't go up the lift because it's been closed for a year. Someone told us that there's a plan to renovate the lift but that people who live nearby want it closed permanently.
