I felt that so much artistic talent behind this image of hangseswari must be preserved properly by us the visitors , the amount of details in the temple is marvellous as if the whole plan was done by some worshiper excelling in proper iconography

The Hindu temple situated at Bansbaria, Hoogly district of West Bengal in India is a beautiful piece of architecture where one can spend some quality time during week end. Somteous "bhog Prasad" is available there at a reasonable payment.

Cant't put my finger on it - but the spires of the temple did seem similar to the Kremlin. Nice place to visit on a winter day. Only sour point was the Rs. 50 we had to shell out for parking, seemed like downright intimidation...More

The temple is accessible easily from bansberia station. 20-30mins walk and one will reach the temple. The main temple is almost 200 years old. The narayan temple beside it is much much older. The terracotta work is amazing but many parts have been damaged.
