Nice setting in the village and was told that they had voluntary human sacrifices until the 1940’s.. goats are now slaughtered at festival time. Interior very basic and original structure may date back several hundred years. No information available on site.

Unlike Durga temples, I have seen in West Bengal, here the style of the 'mandir' was completely different. The architecture was a blend of that of a temple and a pagoda.

The last few hundred meters of the road leading to this nice temple are not paved. The temple itself is small but beautiful.

This mandir goes back more than 500yrs. Located in nartiang, approx 65kms from Shillong. Small but rich in historic and cultural values.
