This is a village surrounden by a fortress to provide safety back in old days. Now this is a touristic place where you can buy some souvenirs and handmade ornaments. Just take a walk on the streets and feel the old culture of Aegean.

The Masic tour is about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours long. It starts off with a walk through the Mesta village and a run down of the history of the village. Then you walk through a town gate into the countryside and down to a mastic grove that is not in production now. Vasillis gives a wonderful run down of how the process occurs concluding with a range of local foods.
