We had the opportunity to visit the Village and Acropolis temple ruins at Lindos in October of 2017. It took us about an hour to drive from the port to the Village, but the drive is enjoyable. The Village and Acropolis at Lindos are a...More

So yes, this is worth a visit, make no mistake of that. The views are breathtaking and there are plenty of interesting archaeological remains. However it transpires that a lot of the columns were originally remodelled in the 1930s and subsequently due to poor application...More

Its quite a long walk up if you can make it but totally worth it. The 360 degree views are amazing! We went on a very hot day, the queue wasn't long so didn't have long to wait. There isn't many places to stand in...More

You get nice views from up there, but we did not end up paying in to the site itself - it is 12 Euro and after having been to the Acropolis in Athens we figured it wasn't totally necessary. The way up could be a...More

It's well worth the climb up to visit the acropolis at Lindos. We had a hire car, and found its best to park at the top of the road across from the Flora supermarket, then walk down into the village. There is also a shuttle...More

It’s a hike, yes in sweltering conditions but it is worth the effort to visit this piece of cultural and historical significance! Take a bottle of water and take your time and once you are “there” you still have further to climb so be warned....More

If you love history, this is somewhere you need to visit. We did an excursion with TUI and this was part of it. We had a tour guide and were given a headphone that we could hear Anna the tour guide explaining everything about the...More

It is a hot climb of about 20 minutes, but well worth it - the remainders of buildings are beautiful, and the views are stunning.

There is a steep climb to reach the Acropolis but I do think it is worth it, there is a €12 charge to enter the site. Go early as it gets very hot and busy, take water and wear decent shoes, the ground is quite...More

I don't think that you would get a lot out of going to Lindos for the Acropolis if your wife needs to access via her mobility scooter. There are too many stairs and they are unavoidable to access the site. However, you could... More

Yes, you can easily catch a taxi. Renting a car on Rhodes was really easy and safe as well. Very cautious drivers on the island.
