This is certainly worth a look and to the right is a nice restaurant to grab a bite or a drink with the same name.

Trajan's Arch is a beautiful granite entry way to the 1st century Roman forum. The arch was originally faced with marble, we were told. Now, though, it is plain grey in color and a little rough textured for wear through 2,000 years of human traffic...More

This is what remains of a Roman arch and can be found in the street with a brief info panel. You can see it on a stroll through the City and will need only a few minutes to see all this has to offer.

It's an old Arch located in the heart of the town. It's worth a visit if you're into that kind of thing. Those romans sure knew how to build stone structures.

It's a large arch. You can walk through it but watch out for traffic. Little square on one side in which you can sit for a while but otherwise not great.

This is part of taking a nice long stroll in Merida, many places to take pictures and eat and many restaurants (two by this arch).
