The archway is a good place to get some neat photos. Caceres offers many opportunities to get some interesting photos and this is one of them.

Located at the top of the main stairway leading out of Plaza mayor, the archway is best seen in the late afternoon sun, when the plaza is lit by the yellow tones of sunset.

Actually find Caceres quite boring and at siesta today the place was like a graveyard. The arch is just that leading as it does from a unnteresting Plaza Mayor. Worth a photo & a detour.

Beautiful entrance to the "old City"". Just under the entryway, on the ground, is the symbol indicating that this was once the Jewish Quarter (see photo). Well preserved archway, buildings, and square. It's nice that it isn't listed with shops..

This is an amazing entry to the old town. It is also possible to visit the Tower, next to it and walk on top of the archway!

Immediate off the north side of the main square, this is simply a flight of stone steps that pass under an arch. Pleasant enough, but not worth a detour.

I like the architecture here. If one is not a fan as I am, then this may not be interesting. Extremadura Provence in Spain has a lot of this style.
