Those mountains - the colours, vegetation, bears (did not see them but felt them), views, activities - a place to spend 2 weeks and become sane again

Each time I pass near these location I stop to take hundreds of pictures. Loads of places where you can stop and take pictures, buy souvenirs, eat traditional food. All you need is free time and a full battery.

Hello Tom, Generally, the trails are well marked, so a map will do the job. But if you really want a guide to take you there, try to look on the websites below: transylvania-guide, visitsibiu or mountainguide-sibiu.

It is also possible to go from Balea Lake to Moldoveanu Peak and back in 1 day - so no cumbersome backpack, but you'll need to start early and walk in a good pace (4-5 km/h). It took me about 12-13 hours to complete this... More
