Not bad but typically average pub grub. Staff very courteous and friendly. This is very clean establishment jousts needs to improve the menu.

It's great to go around here in the summer on a bike ride, nice views etc, could take the dogs, the kids anything really, it is what you make it

you can swim at carr mill dam, but not advisable.

There is a Toby Carvery adjacent to the dam, but I don't believe there are any public toilets specifically for the walking trails.
