It's such a shame that something more like The Angel of the North could not have been there. This was supposed to atract people to St Helens. All it shows is that just like St Helens town centre everything is full of dog muck and...More

Have seen this from the M62 countless times but never visited. Enjoyed a walk, on the well maintained paths, up to the monument which was quite impressive. Managed to grab a Geo nearby too :)

It's embarrassing to think of this slag heap as an attraction. Total waste of money. Top Tip -move it where maybe it could be seen. It's a joke.

Free to visit!! Super walk with friends, family or dogs!! Great views and excellent location if you enjoy sketching or photography!! Visible from m62. Come off at rainhill stoops junction. Enjoy!!

The only problem is that in St Helens they have had to cut down the tops of trees so drivers on the M62 can see it. It looks rather like a big ice lolly

Great location for a sunny walk and around the woods. Parking isn't the best. Plenty of benches to have a picnic xx
