We entered with our dog from Roker Beach and walked around the park for 30minutes. There are plenty of little paths to explore, a bandstand, boating lake and smart bowling greens. The park becomes a must see attraction when the illuminations are there in November....More

We came to Sunderland Illuminations a couple of Friday's ago and it was definitely worth the drive from Middlesbrough. Our little girl really enjoyed it, the later it got the busier it got so it's worth getting there as soon as they open.

not much has changed in roker park since i was a kid, its pretty much the same place but has always been a lovley place to walk with kids. nice pond with plenty ducks and swan, fairy den to walk through and 2 large play...More

We visited here when the Illuminations were on and it was beautiful. The children loved it and it was a great way to spend an evening whilst visiting the city.

Very nice park accessible from the road and the sea front. Good play area for children plus a little railway that runs during the season.

Queen's parade is on the sea front and has about 10 places where you can eat (although some of these may only open on an evening) With children in mind, I recommend Martino's
