I didn't go in the pool but other members of my party did and said it was very relaxing, once you had gotten over the initial shock of how cold it was, they soon realised if you got next to the waterfall it was much...More

The walk towards the pool is really nice, the pool itself is not that special or big, and can be crowded since large groups are guided towards here, especially just before lunch, so choose your visiting time wisely!

The walk here is lovely. It's pretty easy terrain with nothing too challenging, although you have to walk over rocks towards the end which can get a bit slippery. You'd want to have good mobility but don't need any real fitness I don't think. We...More

We did a 15km walk around the park stopping for a swim here along our way. The canyon walk is fun, scenic and so enjoyable. The scenery is really beautiful and the water is cold but worth it!

This pool is well worth the walk - we did it as part of a round trip in the National Park - which took pretty much all day... Good for a refreshing swim though!

Although I was not prepared to go swimming, I couldn't resist climbing in clothes and all for a quick dip. The blue color and clear water were very inviting, but it was cold (in October.) I could never bring myself to swim over and check...More

Deep, clean and fresh swimming pool at Isalo. This is the top of the three swimming pool of the park. It can be very cold in the morning! The fact that it is very transparent and blue makes it interesting! After a long walk under...More

We walked from the dining area for half an hour and finally sweating reached the blue pool. The water was warmish and refreshing.

During dry season the walk to Blue pool (and Black Pool) is not very difficult, no matter sometimes you need to jump from stone to stone. The rocks are going high around you, you may look for birds and do not expect lemurs here. Nice...More
