We went here with some relatives to go with our canoes and have a lunch from our barbecue. Nice to go around here with the canoe or have a swim. The weather was perfect so we had a great day.

Park area is extremely clean with minimal rubbish.. no bins.. toilets.. get a spot early as it fills up quick over summer.. heaps of trees for shade, few picnic tables around..

We visited on a Friday and it was quiet, almost had it to ourselves, what a beautiful place, well maintained and plenty of picnic tables, several in the shade by the river so ideal for a picnic.

Driving through the grounds with the colourful trees in Autumn was great. It is easy to miss as the directions off the secondary road are hard to spot.

What a fantastic area. You can approach from the north via a good dirt road (with small river crossing) or from the south. You can even stay here in your caravan. Well worth the drive - we found it by accident so don't tell anyone!
