The Museum di Valmaggia in Cievo is a little less that what its two Michelin Green Guide promise, but it’s still a good introduction in the history, lives, economy and traditions of the inhabitants of the valley. Not worth however the two Michelin stars IMO....More

Great little museum to learn more about the region, its history and people in different languages. Temporary exhibition is available in a separate building.

Cevio is a very interesting place with an interesting church but what blew us away where the many little grottos built into the rocks/mountain overgrown with moss, the whole area looked like out a film set of the "hobit". Walking uphill trough the beautiful forest...More

The approach of the museum is popular history, giving you an insight into the various institutions which shaped people's lives. It is particularly good at dispelling the image of Switzerland as a rich country, pointing out that 32% of the male population of the valley...More

We were very impressed with the museum.Great location, very attractive building and an very strong collection, not to mention helpful staff. Well worth a visit.

if you are visiting the valmaggia do not miss this museum which gives you an insight of how the past was.
