If the weather is bad, or the wrong time of year, you will not see any seals here. So unless you are here at the right time of year, or just have an unlimited amount of time to spend in the area, I would suggest...More

We were with a small group of people who were able to ride on a tractor that is owned by the man who owns a very large farm which is immediately above the Raudasandur beach. We took a ride on the back tractor to see...More

After a long, winding, curvy dirt road we found nothing. There was a beach but it wasn't red so much as brown. The road to the beach was scenic but not worth the the wasted time.

The road that leads there is quiet difficult, especially during rainy weather. The beach is huge and the color is as you can see on the pictures. It is very hard to get to the ocean. Time to spend: 25 min or much more if...More

We didn't have great weather when we visited the beach. The wind was typical of the west coast, absolutely blowing a gale. The beach didn't appear very red and there weren't many tourists around.

Maybe the light was wrong (mid-afternoon, sun between squalls) but the sand was at most Orange. Regardless, the wild switchback gravel road down to the beach was fun, the views of the beach and surrounding cliffs amazing and the black church very scenic. It was...More

First of all, it's not red - it's the same beige as you see on beaches along bigger roads. The beach is huge and since it was misty when we went we couldn't see the ocean from the edge of the sand, let alone seals....More

You can drive all the way to the parking lot behind the French cafe. It is more or less a flat walk through the reeds/grass on a good path. We probably walked it in about 20 minutes. It is an easy walk. I have an arthritic... More
