Beautiful cascade, fresh water pools. There’s a little hike to get there but is not hard, just be careful with slippery rocks.
Great way to enjoy nature.
There’s a place by waterfall that rents chairs for convenience.
Also the artesanal Jewelery is made with beautiful detail.
Ask for Yuli from Artesanías Pozo Azul, if you want to know about the natural stones properties. She’ll gladly give you a little lesson of each stone, characteristics healing or purpose of each one of them.

We arrived in Minca by Taxi, dropped off in the centre. Motorbike tour blokes everywhere. Not pushy at all. Slowly walked the hill, very peaceful and great views, took us about an hour. Small cafes along the way. Got to the entrance, downhill rough road, took it slowly, great animal calls (frogs?), a few birds, good we had head to toe mozzi spray on and didn’t get bit. The pool and waterfall at the end a bit disappointing, nice walk, very hot. Great to have drink and snack stalls along the track. Back to the village for lunch, not the best! Total steps 17k.

These are small pools of water, definitely not blue, with small waterfalls. They are filled with locals. Its a 20 min walk down slippery slopes. You have an option of taking bikes. Do not go out of your way to see this. Check out some local hikes and go up the mountains instead.

First time visiting Pozo Azul and what an experience! Our drivers parked at a local house that we paid to park there for the day. A young boy (lived in house) became our tour guide. He was so sweet took us all the way to Pozo Azul as it was quite a walk down. He spoke to us a little about the location. When we get there its a beautiful river with a little cascade. The water is FREEEEEEEEZING but once you get in you learn to bare it (somewhat lol). One thing you must keep in mind is there are tiny microscopic bugs in the water that CAN/WILL bite you up! Now I have been to rivers before but this was the first time in my life where I got “swimmers itch”. Now I read this happened to me because I just stood in the water didnt really swim or move around like the others. Everyone got bit a little but I walked away the WORST. Besides that its a great experience I just know what to do better for next time haha.

It's a long walk to get to a place that has a zillion Colombians blasting music and drinking, with lots of kids running around. The falls themselves are pretty cool, but it didn't feel at all covid safe, nor like much of a nature experience. Maybe it would be better super early before lots of people get there.

Nice waterfalls, refreshing water. A decent walk from Minca (1 hour maybe?). A lot of little flies that bite your feet so put mosquito repellent.

The water is fairly cold and as we were there during the Christmas holiday period it was pretty busy, but I would still highly recommend a visit to Pozo Azul. The sights on the way are beautiful and the facilities once you get there are better than we expected - there are food and drinks sellers there, and plenty of places to park your bum and have a seat if you don't want to get in the water.

There are a number of ways you can get here from Minca. The easiest way is to jump on a moto-bike and have them zoom you up to the entrance, the middling route is to walk up the short way (which is all "proper" road) and the hardest way is to hike the long way round (go up the street to the side of the Police Station then follow the signs).

I would recommend hiking up the long way round because it was lovely. We saw all sorts of birds and butterflies, as well as some lovely views. It's a fairly easy hike, but bits of it are steep and it was a pretty hot day, so the hike made us really appreciate the cold water once we got there!

Then you can either get a moto-bike or walk back down the easy way. We chose to walk and I'm really glad we did as there are a number of little bars / coffee shops on the road that have glorious views, so we stopped at a couple and had a very pleasant stroll back down. If you have enough time to make a full day of it, then the whole experience of getting there and back is really worth taking your time over.

Easy hike, fresh water, great views. But depending on the season, not all three ponds may be officially accessible. So you'll have to... improvise :)

A wonderful and tranquil place if you avoid all the mini tours. They all arrive at around 10am at the lowest of the 3 pools! Lots of mayhem and whistle blowing. But arrive at just before midday and they are all departing and tranquility descends.
A bit of rock clambering up to the higher pools and you will escape the crowds regardless.
