I visit the park regularly and have been lucky enough to twice see “The Beast of Gallagher Park”. Some people think it’s a distant cousin of the Sasquatch while others believe it to be the illicit offspring of a couple of yokels who got it...More

I live very close to Gallagher park and regularly walk over the hill and use the colour coded man made walks. Sadly some of the local skanks use it as a place to booze up and leave a disgusting mess and have also set fire...More

One contributor writes that Gallagher Park is just an empty space with no features. Such calm with great views is clearly too much of a shock. Where once was a pit heap is now woods with deer, red squirrels, foxes and jays. There are cycle...More

My friend lives just down the road from this park and it’s a lvoely place for a walk, the green open spaces are rare in built up areas now. The view at the top is quite nice as well.

Took my dog for a walk in the park, lots of litter lying around, lots of dog poo not been picked up by lazy dog owners! Such a shame as it's a huge green area. Could be a lot better.

Nothing there, frequented by bores who think any open space is amazing even though it has no features.

We come here fairly often walking our dogs. It's like one big path with field either side, great for exercise. Isn't the longest of walks but its just the job for local people.

We try to go to the park as often as possible, as it is only a short walk from our house. You have woods to explore by for or on a mountain bike. There is also the BMX track, small playground things to climb, and...More

Just out walking and decided to venture into Gallagher park. Parked at the big car park at the back of tesco, crossed the road and followed the track down. Passing the substation I wasn't what I would find, but it all opened up to find...More
