Very expensive entrance fee but there is more to see than just the water mill. The rural museum has lots of fascinating bits and bobs from days gone by. On a nice day its a lovely walk along the river bank. The peacocks are the...More

It is indeed a working, water driven mill. Milling demonstration at 3:00pm each day except Saturday, but check. We have visited a number of mills, yes I know that might be a bit sad, but the demonstration and talk is just about the right duration...More

Around £25 for family entry and option to return the same week. Spent around 3 hours there. Pretty good overall, 3 pm there is a demonstration of the mill which is good to see. Plenty to do.

Its been some time since we last visited so we thought it only fair to try again. Wish we had not bothered! There really is no excuse for poor coffee these days with so many good coffee machines about, it is possibly the worst coffee...More

Having seen this advertised as the only working water mill on the island, we decided to visit. It cost us £8 each as concessions, but we felt the mill was a let-down. Signage was bad and apart from 'old times' exhibits the site was predominantly...More

Interesting mill but the experience is unfortunately let down by the lack of maintenance around the whole site. £7.50 for 30 minutes for a pedalo is too much especially as the pedals are so stiff you can hardly turn them! Needs a healthy injection of...More

The mill is interesting. Wander up and down inside the mill and see all the processes from grain to flour. Outside the mill in the grounds there are other earlier mills to be seen in varying stages of decay through age. There is a museum...More

This visit was a waste of time and money. The whole area has fallen into disrepair with items collecting dust, falling apart and never sorted. The restaurant though was clean and tidy.

Wartime museum. Also a museum with very old domestic appliances I.e . Fridges, cookers, typewriters, etc. Lots of old farm equipment.
