This is a pleasant place to pass a few hours down on the estuary. with easy walking and good views of the Gironde, this a favourite for many.

We visit this nature reserve every time we come to the region. Very pretty and lovely walks along the estuary. Good facilities and great bike hiring and good value. Thoroughly recommend a visit and eating in the restaurant.

There's a path from Port Maubert to Pole Nature de Vitrezay (or vice versa) that takes in the lagoon and the marshy area. From the Pole Nature end, it was limited availability of boat tours in september but still worth a visit to walk.
