We made our second visit this year and enjoyed our peaceful walk in the sunshine. The second walk the bluebells were in bloom. On both occasions we enjoyed a picnic lunch. Those toilets were this time worse than ever. It was the Tuesday after a...More

A great place for a wonderful walk through the woods looking at the marvels of nature. A nice slow pace to walk around and see the sights. Three different walks depending on how long you want to spend walking around. Free disablity buggys and specifically...More

This is a wonderful place for a daily walk. In fact walk, run, cycle or horse riding. If riding ensure you have a Trots headband on as your expected to have this on display on Forestry land, and rightly so. The woods are a wonderful...More

Lovely location for an all year round dog walking experience. On site “pay & display” car park. Two marked walking routes with hard surfaces. Route signage a little confusing in one area. Toilets, picnic areas, lake and children’s play area. Safe and secure for dogs...More

To be honest lovely walks and woods, would have more visitors if a play area was set up one swing with all that space a little bit pathetic, and why charge for the car park not the best place to visit but still nice

We went here for a walk through the woods as staying nearby. Paid £3:50 for parking thinking we will be here for a little while. The walk was not that long ( we walked slow as we had a pram and a 3 year old)....More

There is a good sized parking area with pay and display. But even better is The Old Oak pub up the way there. Have a wee bevy or 2, then take your favourite mate for a walk around the very spacious woods. The paths are...More

Beautiful walk through the woods at any time of year - it's just a shame the play area has gone for the kids - only the large swing left - could do with more toilets and maybe some picnic benches as there are huge ants...More

Plenty of space to roam, good access to many parts with solid gravel paths that are well maintained, with the option to go off these in amongst the trees should you wish to. There is a large gravel car park, (pay and display) with a...More

Haven't been here for some 10 years until today. I hardly think the parking is overpriced for what one's get. Someone has to pay for the amenity. The toilet block is passed it's best life and certainly does need rebuilding. As for the comment from...More
