Visited the Halfway House for the first time on Saturday evening and thoroughly enjoyed. They accommodated our two little boys very well. Food was delicious and portion sizes were great too! Friendly attentive staff also. Will definitely be returning 😊

Haven’t visited for years as our last visit was not great. We were not disappointed! Food was great, service a bit hit and miss but feel they were short staffed. Lovely cosy atmosphere. Glad we returned!

Had a lovely meal here last night. The staff were excellent, the food was lovely and the atmosphere very convivial. Not our first visit, and it won't be our last ! I can highly recommend the 'House' sharing platter its an awesome starter ;-)

We arrived here as a group of walkers looking for lunch and drinks. We had been to a pub up the road which could not cope with a group and were very rude. The staff here were very polite and helpful. Apologised for the wait,...More

Having been recommended to visit ten of us went for Sunday lunch. Really disappointed with the food, roast potatoes tasted like frozen, beef was chewy and the Yorkshire was not homemade at all. Ordered prawn cocktail to start and prawns were on the turn and...More

An excellent Sunday roast with friends. We ordered a mixture of meals from the menu, all served at the table together not having to wait too long. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for food.

Sadly disappointed in the meal we had today. Roast potatoes were obviously frozen not homemade. Very little veg and thin watery gravy. 1 small Yorkshire pudding . If we had paid less money it would have been acceptable but at £10.95 it was not good...More
