Off the beaten path, diamond in the rough, historically significant wedge tomb. This was a short but interesting visit.

Labbacallee wedge tomb is over 4,000 years old and for that reason is worth a visit. You must climb over a wall, so not ideal if you are not a little bit fit. Its an interesting landmark due to the history of it, but outside...More

Set off on the side of the road, there is no bus loads of tourists or gift shops. It sits on the edge of a farmer's Field. Ancient portal tomb it is facinating to see.

Unbelievable, steeped in history, overlooking the river Funcheon, and the 12th century village of Glanworth, home to the Roche, Condons, and Glangibbon clans of that era.

Labbacallee (the Hags Bed) is a marvel. A wonderful, seemingly untouched, Neolithic wedge tomb. To step over the stile and stand beside this wonder is to go back in time, to touch these stones is to touch prehistory.

Interesting site to see. Small but intriguing. Unfortunately the site is in a dangerous place for parking. There is not actually a designated parking area except for a little space outside the site which will hold two vehicles at most. It is right on the...More
