The nine daughters hole is part of the Cliff Walk in Bally Bunion. It is easy enough to miss - so keep an eye to your left as you walk along - maybe 300 meters from the start - it is on the sea side...More

The legends surrounding this hole are well embedded in local folklore so don't ask it it's true. A bit gruesome but the site is worth a look just to see what years of costal erosion can do.

Awesome blowhole along the Cliff Walk in Ballybunion. Quite natural and earthy AND deep...straight down to the ocean! Chilling to see and think how the (folklore) nine daughters could have met their deaths for disobeying their father!
