This was an optional excursion on our Cosmos Irish Explorer tour in 2017. It was close to an hour's drive from Ennis where we stayed for the night, but we got a chance to see the countryside, which was relaxing. Arriving we walked through what...More

The banquet was such a fun time and was throughly entertained. Was fun eating with your hands and a knife for the main mea. Food was delicious.

We had booked a dinner at a different castle for the beginning of our trip - this ended up being cancelled b/c of the weather. When we called to find out what happened, they were very accommodating! We had planned to be near Bunratty towards...More

I was not prepared to really love this banquet but I did. The castle was beautiful, the food was better than I had expected and I am celiac and was accommodated very well. There was plenty of wine and had coffee offered after the banquet....More

The Bunratty Castle Medieval Banquet was wonderful! It was joyful, historical, & well worth the $125.81 that we (2) paid to Shannon Heritage. That seems like a lot of money to pay for a dinner a long way from home (even in this historical setting)....More

Think of it - dinner in an actual medieval castle. The food was good, service great, and the entertainment was superb. The musicians and singers were outstanding and the atmosphere that was so convivially set came off wonderfully. When I return to Ireland I will...More

An AMAZING place. One of the few castles we toured that was fully restored to it's original state. The medieval dinner is a must do. Don't miss touring the park either. It's worth a few days.

I had no expectations as we were transported back in time by the welcoming maids who served us a cup of mead as they explained the night. Up the stairs (or elevator if needed) to the main hall of the castle where you are welcomed...More

I attended an evening at Bunratty castle with my tour group. It was just OK, from what I hear the individual tickets are pretty expensive. We were absolutely squashed shoulder to shoulder on padded benches, no backs. For 2 1/2 hours. There is no way...More

This was "OK", it would have been way more enjoyable if there were about 3 people on each side of the table less. I had big people to each side of me and I could not raise my elbows away from my body to eat....at...More

It does cost to walk the grounds. It is well worth it. There is an old fashion village, fairy garden and lots of animals. You should plan for a few hours. There is a lovely tea room right in the center.

I did see the inside of the castle, I went to the banquet, I can't remember the cost, probably around 75 Euros, well worth it though, that included a meal of at least 4 courses and entertainment as well, the host of the show... More
