It was raining and kind of mysterious as we entered the castle. The music was wonderful-- madrigal choir blending their voices with a Celtic Harp and Fiddle. The musicians serve your food--- in the style of a true medieval banquet. We fully recommend an evening...More

Attended the medieval banquet last night at Bunratty Castle. It turned out to be a great time, food was good, entertainment was both fun as well as impressive (singing of old Irish songs). Staff did a great job. You of course can’t beat the location...More

In all fairness I should say at the outset that I don't enjoy crowded, noisy touristy experiences. That being said -- we were packed in like sardines on one of the hottest evenings of the summer. The food was decent and musicians very talented --...More

We enjoyed our banquet at Bunratty Castle. Go early to visit the amazing gift shop featuring a wide array of Irish gifts & clothing. From the bag piper greeting, welcoming mead cup (ok for 1-2 sips) and delicious dinner + wine with interludes of song...More

We visited the banquet for the late sitting. Be aware that it is very late- dinner started at 9 and we finished the program at 11. The costumes staff were great, and they both perform as characters from the era and as wait staff. There...More

What a hoot! Great entertainment! Dinner was delicious and eating with your blade and fingers was messy but fun! Jokes and singing, mead and merriment. A great time! The baby goat playing in the castle yard was a bonus!

There aren't many places you can go where you have no desire to pull out your phone and see what's going on in social media, but this place was a great experience... with all the wine you can drink, great wit, lovely singing and dancing...More

We were very impressed with the food (soup, ribs, chicken and veggies, and dessert), the music and entertainment were fantastic and loved the bagpiper on the way out. It was well worth the money and a good way to start or end a vacation.

It does cost to walk the grounds. It is well worth it. There is an old fashion village, fairy garden and lots of animals. You should plan for a few hours. There is a lovely tea room right in the center.
