Had just opened so it was cold and no coffee. Very friendly staff and gave us 30p to use the paid toilet!

Since our last visit of the heritage center, It appears to have more floor space in the process of expansion. There is a wall mounted display of Brian Boru. The week of the festival there were historical walks offered at the center.

Good place to see the history of the area. Well presented and worth a look. Has some very good items to see.

Despite all the signage and the brochures this place is not open. In fact, it took us a bit of wandering around and asking to find this out -- the public library downstairs let us know.

We went to the centre which is also the information office. It was closed. A kindly local gentleman saw us and directed us to the library at the back where we could at lest get a map.

It was a shame to find that this centre has closed down as it would have been very interesting to learn of the history of Brian Boru. There is no advanced warning of the closure and no sign on the building to say it has...More

Why this was closed I cannot imagine! We were looking forward to visiting it. Visitors are very interested in Irish history of which this forms an extremely important part.

Alas, the Brian Boru Heritage Centre has closed its door, permanently. If you want to know about Brian Boru I suggest stopping in at the library located on the ground floor of the building. The librarians are very familiar with the history and there is...More
