Somehow, with a name like Nancy's seafood bar, we expected something different than the many small roomed pub with low ceilings, extensive paraphernalia on the walls, and eclectic tables and benches (think wooden tabletop above an old treadle sewing machine). But it was wonderful seeing...More

We could have eaten great Seafood in Killybegs but we drove to Nancy's in Ardara. The wait staff was unfriendly and the seafood was the worst we have had in Ireland. My husband liked his Guinness Stew but the other three of us were very...More

Oysters and Guinness were the order for us. Old world, charmingly distressed decor that has lasted for probably 150 years. Great friendly staff, warm welcome and unpretentious. The oysters were straight from the bay and excellent. These people do what they do exceptionally well!

Had lunch on one day and dinner the next evening. The fish was top quality and fresh on both occasions. Bags of atmosphere and attentive staff.

While the menu is limited what they do, they do well and it has a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and food and drinks were both local.

Was there two days over a weekend. They were out of hake, haddock, and the Guinness cake. Hence only 4 stars. I was really looking forward to the Guinness cake... The tuna melt was excellent. I had one of the Tempted ciders as well.

Met up with a group of friends and acquaintances for few drinks and a bite to eat at Nancy's. This is a real old fashioned pub with lots of little nooks and crannies to suit different sizes of groups of people. The seafood chowder and...More
