You can get tweed all over Ireland but to meet the weaver who made your cap/scarf and on the loom he has used for 50 years; well that is worth whatever the cost. Eddie is a master craftsman though and he is willing to demonstrate...More

We loved getting to meet Eddie and watch him work the loom. The only part I didn't like was deciding which one of his beautiful blankets was going to make the trip home with us.

Do not by pass this shop. It's a family business, real quality tweed and Eddie is a real gentleman. We stop here whenever we visit Ardara and would highly recommend.

Unlike other places in town, Eddie Doherty's is no tourist trap. He's the real deal - a hand weaver who sells only items made from cloth woven by him in his shop. He will even give you a demonstration. His work is beautiful and perfectly...More

We visited with Eddie who is a professional weaver. His fabrics are beautiful, and so perfectly finished. His herringbone tweeds are the best. There are completed garments, throws, scarves, capes, or yardage available for sale. We had a wonderful conversation and I got some tips...More
