Beautiful Waterfall and lake mentioned in WB Yeats poetry, only 5 minute walk from the car park, a bit of a recline on the walk, but very managable for all levels. This is a must if your in Sligo, its not far from Sligo town,...More
Glencar lake is such a beautiful setting. The mountains overlooking it can be visited by a steep road,by car and on foot. There are 2 waterfalls I visited, the 1 name Glencar waterfall is quickly accessed. The other is a good walk up a track...More
This waterfall is worth seeing. The parking is free and the waterfall is a surprise -- very attractive, with a wonderful waterfall sound. It's not a huge waterfall, but it is a very nice one and a short walk. The sheep and view near the...More

But I don't see how they would enforce paying first, as access to the waterfall footpath is on the other side of the road, and no gates or such.
The parking lot is within a 5-10 minute stroll away from the waterfall with lovely sights on the way. If you also want to kick back and relax there is a tea shack en route as well. I myself made the visit with a 4 month old... More
The parking lot is within a 5-10 minute stroll away from the waterfall with lovely sights on the way. If you also want to kick back and relax there is a tea shack en route as well. I myself made the visit with a 4 month old baby and found the terrain very reasonable so don't worry.
