Authentic local bar in the middle of lovely Clonakilty town. Open music sessions, mostly trad, every Friday and Saturday night. Visiting musicians welcome to join in. Have a chat with the locals and the bar staff to find out what else is going on in...more
You know it's good when you're already googling fares to find your next flight back! Con and Maura's is an absolute gem -- kind and friendly locals, fantastic music, the perfect pint and a gracious hostess. Bonus for me, I had rented a room above...More
Visited this Con and Maura's this past weekend and absolutely loved it, real old time feel to it, very relaxed atmosphere. Went here both nights I was in Clonakilty, it's very small but that's not a bad thing! You'll get to chat to people here...More
We stayed at Con and Maura's for 10 days over the Easter break. Nestled in the day-time sleepy town of Clonakilty - this is a magical place to stay. You will experience the friendliness of Maura and she's a font of knowledge of all things...More
Just finished a 5 night stay for our honeymoon. We are now in Paris and the phrase of the day today was, "It's not Clonakilty". We miss Con & Maura's! It was my second time to stay and I will absolutely be back. The live...More

Take the time to turn up McCurtain Hill in Clonakilty and just there on the right is the best pint of Guinness and Murphy's in Cork! Maura is really welcoming, she has rooms to let upstairs and at the weekends, there are live open music...More
It was a little quiet when we popped in for a late afternoon pint. The lady behind the bar was really lovely and conversational. This is a great example of an unspoiled Irish Pub. Given the opportunity we will be back.
Great atmosphere and service with very enjoyable live music. Despite the fact that it's a very small pub there's plenty of chat and laughter while the music's playing, none of the shushing or glares you can sometimes get in small pubs that have music playing.
