OPW manage their sites very well. Have a particular interest in historical buildings and would have appreciated more detailed signage to help understand what was going on on the site.

It was amazing tour experience with knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide Emer, who was able to recreate in her story lives of 12th century monks and show intriguing architectural details. Enjoyed it, thank you very much!

To tour the abbey, there is a very inexpensive fee. It is worth paying for. This tour is self-guided. You are given a map with information that is easy to follow.
