- dingerdoidgeBarnstaple, United Kingdom25 contributionsBelleek museumA fabulous tour of he castle and dungeons with my 12 year old. Loved Grace o’malleys bed and the armoury. My son got to handle the swords (with great care & supervision from Carol “the guide”) Amazing and animated guide through time which was enjoyed by both me and my son. If you go to Ballina then a visit here is a must!Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 10 April 2023
- Gabrielle M5 contributionsDavid Attenborough would love it! 😍Highly recommend doing the guided tour of the Castle with Carol - I have lived in this town for most of my life and never really explored this national treasure trove . I was completely blown away by the story - I won't spoil it but even David Attenborough would have loved it I would say! - Ross H1 contributionFamily and school trip to Belleek CastleI had taken my class here a year before as we were Lear big about Belleek Castle in history so we did the museum tour. My pupils absolutely loved it. A year later I brought my wife and kids here and they loved it too. Carol did a great job bringing the history to life. Perfect place to visit with a family and a walk around the woods to finish off the trip.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 7 November 2023

What a fantastic two hours spent in this stunning castle. They have two tours daily and we decided on the 12oc one.
We had a family of 2 adults and two daughters aged 10 and 14. The girls grandmother came along too. We were greeted by our guide Carol who gave us a very pleasant and informative story all about the history of the castle. Telling us about the land league, how a certain man saw the castle that was close to ruin and renovated it with his artefacts and building materials from all over the World.
Carol engaged with the kids throughout the tour asking them questions and getting them to hold some of the castles treasures. I don’t want to spoil the trip for people that haven’t taken it but if you want to experience a real castle and dungeon and see lots of absolutely beautiful rooms that are unique please do yourself a favour and book this tour. Reasonably priced too.

Incredible! The tour was absolutely amazing with our tour guide. She showed us around the castle, the courtyard/stable area, and also underneath the castle where the significant artefacts and memorabilia are kept! She also answered any question we had. You could tell she loved her job. 100% would recommend to anyone visiting or even a small bit away, it's worth the drive. Have a drink in the Armada bar and then take the tour, totally worth it.

I don’t believe so. Hundreds of years old. Many stairs. Rooms upstairs that we stayed in. As another person suggested please contact them via email. They are very responsive via email as I did email them with questions prior to our stay.
