The Connacht Whiskey Company is a small independant Distillery which was founded just a few years ago. We got a very warm welcome on a rainy day and were lucky to have a very nice group on our tour. The tasting turned in something of a cozy pub "session" and we stayed way longer than the tasting actually lasted.

A fascinating and informative tour of a modern working distillery which I found more interesting than the heritage based tours of the large whiskey producers. Danika was an excellent guide and it was interesting to taste the products including the poitin spirit and the Batch 1 whiskey.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Distillery. Got a brief history on how the company was founded and then got to walk around the Distillery and get told how the the whiskey was made. Finished up with a tasting of the whiskey. Found it really insightful and would highly recommend if you're even only slightly curious on how whiskey is made. On top of that it's not to expensive for the tour as well. Would suggest it as a go to if you're in the Ballina area

A wonderful find. The guided tour is very informative. It is great to hear how the business started and the reason it is based in Ballina. This was my first trip to a distillery and it did not disappoint. I was bowled over by the delicious smell as we entered into the brew room. The process was thoroughly explained and all the questions were answered. It is an impressive operation making whiskey, vodka, gin and poitin (potcheen). The tasting session was not rushed and allowed time to appreciate the drinks. The staff were welcoming and they took their time and I was not rushed through the tour or tasting. I recommend this business if you like your spirits, want to learn about the brew process and support an Irish business.

An absolute "Must Do" if you are in the West of Ireland. What a wonderful tour. So very interesting and informative and the highlight of course was the tasting afterwards. Again so informative and educational about the whole process of Irish Whiskey. We thoroughly enjoyed it and it will be at the top of our "Things to Do" list when we have family and friends over to visit us. Very good guide who clearly loved her job and imparted great knowledge. Very high recommended. Do not miss this one!!!

Connacht Whiskey Distillery is hidden away in a picturesque setting in the beautiful surroundings of Ballina. The building is modern and contemporary. It is pristine. Even the packaging if fab. The lovely Lyndsey gave us our guided tour. It was both interesting and fun. Lyndsey was informative and knowledgeable and has such a passion for what she does. In the current climate even with all restrictions in place, which made us feel very safe and comfortable, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend it. It's a fun day out.

We were treated to an excellent tour from Lindsey of Connacht Whiskey. Although a small venue, Lindsey spoke passionately and at length of Connacht Whiskey's vision and work. Walking though the distilling processes Lindsey shared what makes Irish Whiskey so special.

As a result of Covid their own whiskey has been delayed but hopefully will be released November this year. Based on their finishes on contractor whiskey ie getting Irish Whiskey and adding their own touch to it, Connacht Whiskey will be a fantastic addition to the market!!

In the sampling I had 5 different whiskeys. All finished by Connacht Whiskey. Lindsey walked through the tasting process to get the most out of the week. It was an excellent cap to a really interesting and personal tour.

Inexpensive (€30 for the 5 whiskey sample plus tour) and well put together it is a must do in Mayo.

Their finish on whiskeys was so good k brought 2 bottles home with me, always a sign of the quality of a tour. A special mention to Lindsey for her passion throughout the tour.

Note it obeyed Covid guidelines.

We ended up having a personal tour of the distillery and a tasting of whiskey, poitin and gin with Grainne! A brilliant way to spend an afternoon. All covid guidelines adhered to, lovely gift shop and facilities. Would've bought every whiskey if we could.

Thanks Global461188 for the review, with a lot uncertainty at the moment we aim to bring our visitors an enjoyable and more importantly safe experience here with us at the distillery. The social distancing space available and abundance of our own hand sanitiser here allows us to do that while still retaining the integrity of our tours. Do drop in for again the next time your in the area!

Had a really enjoyable tour. Felt very safe with all necessary Covid precautions. Grainne made it educational and fun. Tastings in Mullarkey's Bar afterwards and can highly recommend the Ballyhoo whiskey and the gin - purchased quite a few bottles!

Thanks V8425JXhelenm, the Gin is one of our favourites especially given the name Concullin after our two local lakes and using that lucious water to create the Gin. We are glad that you felt safe here as the safety aspect here is paramount. We are adjusting to the "new normal" and enjoying having visitors here with us to share our stories.
