This may not be the obvious tourist attraction but it can not be doubted its importance in historical relevance. Another Brunel piece of excellence. Recently re-painted gives it new life and whether on the train or walking on the road bridge you can not fail...More

Either take the train across it, or walk over the newer 1961 Tamar bridge for fantastic views of IKBrunel's bridge, the estuary and the towns on both sides. And it's free!

Walk across the new Tamar Bridge and wonder at the engineering of this iconic structure, and whilst you are there pop into Saltash for lovely shops, pubs and restaurants.

The rail gateway to Cornwall. A sign to a Cornish man they are on the way home. Well built by Brunel part of Cornish history.

Yes, it's just a bridge, but anything built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel is worth looking at. This is a particularly magnificent example of his work, wonderfully built with only the basic technology available.

I don,t believe anyone can consider a bridge built in the last 200 years a tourist attraction. If travelling near Saltash take a glance, but please don,t cause an accident

The bridge can be viewed from both Saltash waterfront, or from the adjacent road bridge, I suggest you park on the waterfront in Saltash, then having taken in that view, walk up the steep hill and over the road bridge In towards Plymouth, on return...More

This famous Brunel bridge can be viewed from the Tamar Road Bridge or from Saltash waterfront under the bridge. A huge engineering feat of the mid-19th century warrants a visit by train, car or foot and is best appreciated when a train rumbles across the...More
