wonderful line from matlock to rowsley with some pleasant scenery and local pubs, especially in the darley dale part of the line .

We wouldn't go again. It is very expensive and aimed at Train Spotting types. They could do so much more. I don't think there is much to do along the route although Whitworth Park is nice for kids if you get off at Darley Dale....More

I visited Peak Rail during the School Holidays. I boarded the train at Matlock Riverside, there is a good reasonaly priced car park here and also a station shop which is slightly confusingly situated at the main line railway station. The shop is good too...More

Ticket is for all day. You can get on and off as you please.

Yes it is, and at certain times you can get an all day ticket so you can travel up and down the line as much as you like
