I took my wife to see this wharf- it was raining so we didn't stop long. The volunteer in the shop was very pleasant and told us a lot about the history.

We walked from high peak junction to Cromford along the canal, saw plenty of flora and fauna, and overtaken by canal boat being pulled along the tow path. Also a nice café at the Cromford end

Lovely way to finish your trip with a relaxing walk if you are visiting the area. Beautiful flora and fauna, we even managed to see a heron.

Really nice for a dog walk. Beautiful scenery, peaceful, and you can go for miles if you want (though a shorter walk is easy too)

Hi Jamie. Sorry for the delay in responding. We didn’t notice any signs in relation to canoeing/paddle boarding, however, there’s only a short stretch of canal still in use, maybe a mile, so not ideal. Hilton
