Fabulous small museum. Set in a Tudor building, actually lived in until 1966! Tells Bakewell’s story through local artefacts- including the Workhouse clock. Fantastic. So pleased that you enjoyed our guided walk from the town centre. Walks are led by enthusiastic and knowledgable volunteers. They run every Thursday between April and October. contact the museum for more info on 01629 813642.

Absolutely fabulous. My 3 children and I found this absolute gem after following the trial from the TIC in Bakewell. We arrived at 3.50 and the museum closed at 4. A generous volunteer brought out lollies for the children as they could not let us...More

What a lovely quaint museum set in a lovely old house with lots of stories to tell. My furry child was allowed in with me and we really enjoyed it

Oooops so sorry that i did not see your ?. The museum is open every day from 25th March to 5th November. So sorry we would not have been open on the 9th Nov.
